Canadian Adventure Runner prepares for journey across Canada with the help of the Gatorade Sports Science
Institute Canada
Canadian adventure runner, Ray Zahab has set off to run 80 kilometres a day for 13 days straight, crossing through
each province and territory, in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the Canada ONEXONE foundation. The Canada
ONEXONE is a non-profit foundation committed to supporting, preserving and improving the lives of children in Canada and
around the world.
To help prepare for the Canada ONEXONE journey, Zahab participated in a Sweat Test with the Gatorade Sports Science
Institute Canada (GSSI Canada) at the Canadian Sport Centre (CSC) Pacific in Victoria, B.C. The test provided Zahab with
insight on his sweat rate, fluid intake and sweat salt loss and recommendations on how to improve his hydration habits
which in turn will help him perform at optimal levels.
