Asthma Society of Canada
There are 3 million Canadians with asthma, and 60% of them do not have control of their condition and are accepting a lower quality of life than necessary. We provide resources to help people control their asthma, including booklets, pamphlets, and web resources. Our asthma & allergy helpline allows people to call and speak to a Certified Asthma Educator with their individual asthma questions. Our programming also includes Team Asthma, to help people with asthma become active through sport, and Asthma Ambassadors, our peer-to-peer support program. Canadians with asthma can join our advocacy groups to help change public policy and better the lives of people with asthma. We are also involved in research activities.
