Founded in 1989, the Mission of Share the Warmth is to awaken hopes and dreams by overcoming hunger and poverty. Eighty percent of our programs are focused on youth. Our School Food Program provides 4,500 nutritious snacks and lunches a week for children in twenty-six schools across Montreal. The Back to School Program ensures that school supplies are provided to over 50 schools across the island of Montreal so that all students have equal opportunity to learn.Youth Programs offer guitar, keyboard, youth group, and tutoring activities to children of all ages, developing skills and friendships that will last a lifetime. Encouraging young people to stay in school, the Sam Pelc Scholarship Award Program awards an annual scholarship deserving inner city elementary school graduates to assist with educational needs throughout the students' high school years. Share the Warmth runs a Food bank and Second-Hand Shop for individuals and families in need.
