Apr 18/10 — Close to 3,500 pairs of shoes crossed the finish line today at the 2010 Banque Scotia 21k et 5k de Montréal, raising more than $280,000 for 24 community charities through the Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge. Top male runner Matt Loiselle of Toronto finished in 1:05:07 while Mary Davies of Ottawa finished in 1:14:45 in the women's competition. full story »

Championship Series kicks off Sunday

Athletics Canada 2010 Canadian Championship Series kicks off Sunday with Half Marathon — The first event in the 2010 Athletics Canada Canadian Championship Series will take place this Sunday in Montreal, Quebec. The 2010 Canadian Half Marathon Championships will be held in conjunction with the Banque Scotia 21k de Montreal. The championships will also serve as the qualifying trials for the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships which will take place Oct 16 in Nanning, China.
