The Team Challenge is back for another great year, with the addition of the Sporting Life 10k High School Challenge! This year, the focus of the Team Challenge is to raise money for Camp Oochigeas, a camp for children with cancer.

2 Ways to Enter:

1st option: Team Entry Form

Confirmation page

This form is a one-time only system. You cannot add teammates using this form unless you have at least 10 more people to add.

Team Captain:

  • Needs to collect all teammates information (minimum of 10 people in each team)
  • Needs to pay for all team members using this form

2nd option: Individual entry form

Confirmation page

This form allows the captain to register themselves first, then have other teammates add themselves to the team later. This also means that each teammate is responsible for paying for themselves and submitting their own information. The prices using this option are the same as the individual online entry fees ($5 more than using the 1st option).

Team Captain:

  • Needs to pay for their own entry
  • Needs to register for the event first and submit the team name under the "team section" at the bottom of the entry form

Race Week Team Packet Pick-up

Thursday and Friday, May 1st & 2nd, 10:00am–8:30pm; and Saturday, May 3rd 10:00am–5:30pm; at the Sporting Life store at 2665 Yonge St (East side of Yonge St. just south of Blythwood).

Picking up for your team: Please bring the team's email confirmations OR permission from each individual team member (if they don't have an email confirmation) allowing one person to pick up for the entire team. This is for your safety, to make sure someone else does not walk off with your race kit.

Part of a team but picking up only your race kit: If you don't have an email confirmation simply bring your photo ID and make sure you're on the online confirmation list.

Race Day Team Packet Pick-up

Run day kit pick-up is limited to those living outside 416/647 area code. Pick-up will be in the Sporting Life parking lot, 2665 Yonge St., 1 hour and 30 minutes before start time to 30 minutes before start time (please check Run Details for updates on race start time).

Are you the fastest school in Toronto... prove it!
And enter a team in the

"Sporting Life 10k High School Challenge"

We would like to invite Toronto High School Students to join us Sunday May 4th, 2008 for The Sporting Life 10k. Join 10,000 other runners in a celebration of fitness, as we take over Canada's most famous street - Yonge Street. The run starts at Sporting Life 2665 Yonge Street, and ends at Roundhouse Park (Behind the Rogers Centre). Students can run to help kids with cancer and raise money for Camp Oochigeas.

A special registration rate of $25.00 has been allocated for High School Students (1/2 price) and includes a t-shirt, runner's kit & timing chip. Food will be provided to all participants after the run.

New This year — High School Challenge

Schools can enter teams of runners. Prizes are as follows based on the top 4 times from each school:

  • Fastest "BOYS TEAM" - $250.00
  • Fastest "GIRLS TEAM" - $250.00
  • Fastest "Co-ED Team" - $250.00
  • School that raises the most money for Camp Oochigeas - $500.00

How to register

Please contact Bonnie Taylor below via e-mail, she will send you an electronic registration form for you to use. All registrations must be received before Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008. A pledge form for Camp Oochigeas is also attached. Cheques payable to RCP International.
