Sign-up online to raise funds for prostate cancer research at Vancouver General Hospital!

Follow these 4 easy steps and sign up today!

  1. Register online* for the 8k (or for team** registration) at www.canadarunningseries.com/spring8k. The easiest way to enter, with instant emailed confirmation.

    *Online registration closes midnight, March 4th. 100% of the entry fee for the first 600 entrants supports prostate cancer research at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH).

    **There are two Team Prizes. The team that raises the most money will win ten $250 gift cards at Harry Rosen. The fastest team will win ten $100 gift cards at Harry Rosen.

  2. Once you have successfully registered for the run as an individual or a team you will receive a confirmation email of your entry from EventsOnline. You can click on the link provided to sign up to start collecting pledges from your own personal fundraising page or click here to begin your fundraising.

  3. Follow the VGH Fundraising link and click on 'Sign Up' and choose how you would like to fundraise. You can:

    1. Fundraise as an Individual — Sign up to join us as an individual. Don't worry, you have the option of creating or joining a fundraising team later if you want to.
    2. Create an 8k Fundraising Team — Team Captains can create their teams by entering their team name & description.
    3. Join an existing 8k Fundraising Team — Enter the name of the team you want to join or you can search for the team using the team captain's first or last name to retrieve a list of registered teams.

    Please note your 'Transaction ID' number that you'll have received from EventsOnline/Canada Running Series when your registration was confirmed as you will be required to provide this during the fundraising sign up.

  4. Enter your fundraising contact information and create a username & password. Your username & password allows you to log onto the fundraising website whenever you want to send solicitation emails or check your fundraising results. Your username and log in information will be sent to you in a new confirmation email. Keep this email for easy access back to your fundraising site!

Now you're ready to start fundraising! Once you're registered, you can start sending emails to family and friends asking for their support.

Once you are registered to collect pledges, you will receive a follow up email from Vancouver General Hospital with some great fundraising tips to help you achieve your fundraising goals.
