Runners' Packet Pick-up

Wednesday March 30th and Thursday April 1st at New Balance Toronto, High Park Store, 2252 Bloor St. West @ Runnymede 10:00am – 8:30pm

Run Day Packet Pick-up: At the Grenadier Café Parking Lot (approximately 800 metres from the Bloor Street Entrance — about a 15 minute walk). ABSOLUTELY NO TEAM PICK-UP ON RACE DAY!

5k Bibs and Chips will not be available on race morning for pick-up until 10:05am!

IMPORTANT: please remember to BRING A PRINTOUT OF YOUR EMAIL CONFIRMATION OR YOUR PHOTO ID for packet pick-up. This is for your safety, to make sure someone else does not walk off with your race kit. If you are picking up for a friend/friends, you must have their confirmation as well.

On race day, all offline pledges must be handed in to The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation tent the morning of the run by 9:45am to be eligible for prizes.

ChampionChip Pickup

Both 8K & 5K runs are chip-timed, by SportStats.ca

DON'T FORGET to pick up your chip at the SportStats tent close to both start lines ON RACE MORNING. We encourage all 8k runners to pick-up their chips by 9:15am and 5k runners between 10:05am and 10:30am; 5K runners/walkers, please pick up your chip AFTER the 8K has started, at 10:05am. Remember... you MUST have a ChampionChip to get an official result. NO CHIP = NO TIME!

8k timing chip will be on a Velcro band which you must wear on your ANKLE. If you wear it on your wrist you will not get a recorded time. Take note that all timing chips must be returned following the event; there is a $50 charge for each timing chip that is not returned.

5k timing chip will be on your shoe. You will be given a zip tie to fasten it to your laces. Please make sure the zip tie is fastened properly and that your chip is secure. There is a $50 charge for each timing chip that is not returned.

Colour Coded Start Corrals

8k participants will be organized in coloured corrals at the start line based on expected finishing time!

On everyone's bib there will be a coloured sticker on the top right hand corner:

Corral flags

On race morning you will look for the flag with the colour that corresponds to the circle sticker on your bib.

Pancake Breakfast

Grenadier Cafe and Teahouse High Park Initiatives

Enjoy a delicious post-run pancake breakfast, compliments of the Grenadier Café. Pancake tickets are $3.00 each with all proceeds going to the High Park Initiatives: www.hpicharity.org.

Tickets can be purchased on-line or during Runners' Packet Pick-up on Wednesday March 30th and Thursday April 1st at New Balance Toronto, High Park Store, 2252 Bloor St.West @ Runnymede 10:00am – 8:30pm or at the breakfast table on race morning at High Park — only if the Pancake Breakfast has not already sold out. Pancakes will be served from 10:45am to 1pm.

Getting There & Parking

There is no parking within High Park. Note: the park will be closed to traffic from 5:30am until 1:30pm for everyone's safety. Park your vehicle outside the park. Take the TTC, the Better Way, as the High Park subway station is within 400m of the finish area.

Race Course Description

Live music

8k Course (10:00am)

An 8k loop over the scenic, traffic-free, paved roads of High Park. Starts on Colborne Lodge Drive, between the Schoolhouse and the Grenadier Café.

5k Course (11:00am—Walk or Run)

Starts on West Road, curves around Grenadier Café, north on Colborne Lodge Dr., west on West road, moves onto the path towards Grenadier Pond and follows the 8k route for the remainder. Ideal for casual walkers and joggers, as well as serious competitors. ChampionChip timing for all.

Course Restrictions

8K: 2,300 participants. Owing to narrow roads of this beautiful course, we regret NO baby joggers, strollers or pets allowed.

5K: 1,500 participants. Baby joggers, strollers and pets welcome, as long as you start at the back, and are respectful to other participants.

Baggage Check ($2 / per bag)

Baggage proceeds to Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. Baggage check at Grenadier Café parking lot from 8:30am onwards. You are strongly urged to deposit your bag by 9:30am at the latest for the 8k, 10:30am for the 5k, as 4,000+ participants will not be able to check in their bags at the same time!

Port-o-Lets

Colborne Lodge Drive south of the Grenadier Café parking lot, north of the 8k start line, on west road near the 5k start line.

Give yourself plenty of time to use the port-o-lets! 5,000 people can't use the toilets 15 minutes before the race!
