Children's Arts Umbrella Association
Arts Umbrella is a not-for-profit arts education centre for children and youth ages 2-19, founded on the principle that engagement in the arts can profoundly and positively impact a child's life.
For more than 30 years, Arts Umbrella has provided innovative, impactful and high-quality education in visual and performing arts to children and youth, regardless of their skill level or socio-economic circumstances. Of the more than 24,000 young people that access Arts Umbrella programs annually, 12,000 access them free-of-charge or at a reduced rate through outreach programs, bursaries, and scholarships.
Arts Umbrella is dedicated to making arts education available to as many children in Metro Vancouver as possible, and as part of this commitment to accessibility, will be opening two new permanent locations in the City of Surrey in 2012. Arts Umbrella relies on community support to continue its mission of inspiring kids for life through the arts.
