Giovanni Bastone Foundation
The Giovanni Bastone Foundation is a not-for-profit society created in honour of Giovanni Bastone. While mounting a courageous fight against lung cancer, Giovanni was inspired by the children he met in hospital who were also battling various types of the disease. Had Giovanni lived, it would have been his wish that his family focus their efforts on finding a cure for childhood cancer. We do so in his memory.
Since 2004, the volunteers of the GBF, including inspiring teens and young adults who have survived childhood cancer, have raised close to $300,000 for the childhood cancer researchers at BC Children's Hospital. Childhood cancer — the cure is ours to discover!
