BC Children's Hospital Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises money to help sick children get better by inspiring philanthropy. The Foundation works with communities to raise funds for essentials including: life-saving equipment, research into childhood diseases, a wide range of medical staff and community child health education programs.
BC Children's Hospital provides the best possible expert pediatric care for the province's most seriously ill or injured children from newborn to the age of 18 (or dependent on the child's health condition). Each year the hospital treats more than 72,000 children from more than 200 communities throughout the province. BC Children's Hospital serves the largest population of children in Canada - a total of 1 million children in BC. Child Health BC is dedicated to ensuring the one million children and youth in British Columbia have access to a consistent and first-rate standard of health care, wherever they live in the province. Child Health BC has launched in many areas such as: Richmond, Nanaimo, Kamloops, Prince George etc.
