Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver
"The number one indicator of success for a child is a good relationship with a caring adult."
—Fortune Magazine
And now helping community kids is easy…
just throw on your running shoes!
Sign up for the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon or 5K Run on June 22nd and ask friends and family to support your
efforts by donating to your charity of choice — Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.
Supporting positive friendships between children and adult volunteers, Big Brothers' mentoring programs help kids
reach their full potential by heightening self esteem and enabling them to make healthy decisions. In fact, children with
mentors perform better academically, have better relationships with adults and are less likely to abuse drugs and alcohol.
Trying to beat your best time? Well, you're not the only one with big ambitions. Our goal is to serve 1,200 children
annually by 2010 and we need your help. Even if you don't have time to be a Big Brother, this is your opportunity to
make a contribution.
If that isn't incentive enough…
Raise $250 and Big Brothers will cover your entry fee!
Raise $750 and receive an iPod shuffle!
Not only will you do something amazing for yourself, but you will also make a BIG difference in the lives of children
in your community.
Think BIG… support Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver!
