Firefighters Without Borders Canada
Firefighters Without Borders Canada provides a life-saving, helping hand up to firefighters in the developing world through cross-training, in-kind donations and friendship. Our goal is to empower fire departments throughout the world so that they may provide a higher level of emergency services to their communities.
Our origins date back to 1994, and we have continually expanded since. The demand for our assistance is dramatic and our support base continues to grow — at the current time, we receive donations of decommissioned gear, equipment and apparatus from more than 70 fire departments. We ship to countries where we have established strong and trusting relationships and where we can see the demonstrated need. Team members travel to developing countries, at their own expense, to share their expertise, learn other perspectives and develop professional friendships.
