The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to blood cancers. Our mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Our research has had a huge impact:
- survival rates for childhood leukemia have increased from 3% 40 years ago to 90% today
- survival rates for Hodgkin's Lymphoma have doubled to 88% from the 1960s
- survival rates for myeloma have tripled in the last decade
Team In Training is the pillar fundraising campaign for the Society and, since its inception in 1988, has successfully trained over 540,000 participants to complete an endurance event (marathon, triathlon, cycle), and these individuals have collectively raised more than $1.2 billion for life-saving blood cancer research and patient services.
We appreciate your support to help develop cures for these cancers.
