Canadian Liver Foundation
The Canadian Liver Foundation is the authoritative voice on liver disease in Canada. Our mandate is to reduce the incidence and impact of all liver diseases. Since 1969, the Foundation has provided support and funds for research and education into the causes, diagnoses, prevention and treatment of the more than 100 diseases of the liver. The Canadian Liver Foundation addresses the needs of patients and their families, and promotes awareness and a better understanding of liver diseases among the general public. One in twelve Canadians suffer from some form of liver disease, the 4th leading cause of death by disease in our country. Through its LIVERight initiative, the Canadian Liver Foundation provides Canadians of all ages with positive, preventative and practical advice and tools to help them safeguard their liver health in daily life.
