Vancouver Humane Society
The Vancouver Humane Society is dedicated to the ethical treatment of animals. We do this by researching and correlating information with respect to animal protection issues, participating in decision-making processes with community leaders and governments, networking with animal protection and environmental groups and soliciting and disbursing funds for the care and veterinary treatment of animals in need.
The issues we focus on are animals used in entertainment (rodeos, movies, circuses, etc.), factory farming, especially egg-laying hens kept in cages, captive wildlife and exotics (zoos, exotic pets) and companion animals in need (cats, dogs, rabbits, etc.) — in particular, spay and neuter and emergency veterinary care for animal guardians on restricted income.
