Thank you for participating in this year's Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5k!

Scotiabank has offered to pay the registration fee for any employee who raises a minimum of $100 in donations for one of our 10 official Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge partners. Registration is easy, just follow the steps below, also stay tuned to the website for more information and incentives as we launch.

How to register:

  1. Click the link below to access the entry form
  2. Choose your charity, and commit to fundraising! Remember Scotiabank Employees need to raise $100 to receive free entry
  3. Fill out your registration details. Please use your Scotia email address.
  4. Indicate if you are a Scotiabank employee, and enter the branch transit number.
  5. Complete the registration form and submit
  6. You will be asked to input your credit card number for your entry fee. Your credit card will not be charged. After the event we reconcile the fundraising with the charities and if you did not raise minimum $100 in donations, you will then be charged $50 for the half-marathon or $25 for the 5k event.
  7. After it's complete – you will receive a confirmation email that you are registered. In the email are links to the online fundraising site of our 10 charity partners.
  8. Congratulations and see you at the run on Sunday, June 28th, 2009!

The Scotiabank Vancouver Half Marathon & 5k celebrates its 10th Anniversary with an expanded Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge!

Together over the past nine years of the event, we have had over 25,000 people participate in the event and raised over $750,000 for our local charity partners. This year we are proud to partner with ten local charities in our Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge!

VOLUNTEERS

We are still looking for Scotiabank volunteers for the Runners' Expo and on Race Day. Please click here to register to volunteer at the event.

Runners Expo Volunteer

Charity Challenge Pledge Collection – Help us help the runners, run for the sake of others. We are looking for 7-12 Scotiabank Volunteers to assist us with collecting any in person donations for any of our 10 Charity Challenge partners. Alison our charity challenge coordinator will be with you onsite and at the expo, where you will collect pledges and answer some questions about the run. Alison will brief you on the frequently asked questions and be with you to assist.

At the Expo – Friday June 26th, Runners' Expo at the Sheraton Wall Centre – looking for people in the following time frames – 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm, 4pm-7pm; and on Saturday June 27th, at the Runners' Expo, Sheraton Wall Centre – for the following times 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm. Volunteers should register online and would check in with Alison at the Pledge Collection table in the expo.

Race Day – We are looking for 4-6 volunteers to work from the ScotiaDome in Stanley Park, on the Fish House lawn, to be collecting pledges from 7am-10am, while runners are finishing their run. Check in either at the Volunteer tent or with Alison at the ScotiaDome. Dress for the weather, volunteers will receive a volunteer tshirt, and Scotiabank Volunteers should wear their Team Scotia shirts — if you don't have one we will have some onsite.

Race Day Volunteer – Medal Hangers

We want to have a great group of Scotiabank Volunteers (10-20) working with us in the finish line to congratulate all of the finishers as they complete their run! Your task will be to congratulate all runners and present them with a medal in the finish chute near the Stanley Park Fish House. Volunteers should be onsite for 7:30am Sunday June 28, report into the Volunteer Tent located near the finish line. We will be congratulating finishers until 10:30am. Volunteers should come prepared for the weather so dress accordingly. Volunteers will receive a volunteer tshirt, and Scotiabank Volunteers should wear their Team Scotia shirts — if you don't have one we will have some onsite.
