2015 Toronto Yonge Street 10k CRSF Charity Challenge — Information Coming Soon!

What is the Charity Challenge?

Introduced 10 years ago at Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, the Charity Challenge allows multiple charities to "piggy-back" on our CRS running events at no cost, no risk or "exposure" to them. Furthermore, CRS provides a free, online pledge/fundraising service to participating, approved "Official Charities."

The charities simply have to recruit their runners (who pay an entry fee to the race that goes to CRS to cover costs of staging the event) and focus all their efforts on fundraising. The charities then have access to a high-tech, user-friendly online fundraising resource. The concept allows our sport of running to act as a platform for SO many more charities, and give back to so many different corners of our community. It offers us a much broader choice on who to run or walk for in our favourite events.

In 2013, the Scotiabank Charity Challenge at Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon hosted 183 charities who raised over $3.8 million. Since its inception in 2003 the Challenge at STWM has raised over $21 million! (

Best Dressed Costume: Be a hero and win $ for an Official Charity

Make your race more memorable at the Toronto Yonge Street 10K by dressing in costume and winning money for one of the great charities associated with the race! Costumes always catch the eye of spectators, our event photographers and the media so imagine how fun that will be if you're a media star!

Dressing in costume could win you one of the 3 awards for the "Best Dressed" on race day, as well as generating even more publicity for the charity you choose.

All costumes will be judged by 3 Celebrity / Media Judges at the Finish Line. To win the costume contest, you must finish the race in your costume. All prize money must go to one of the 2014 Toronto Yonge Street 10K CRS Foundation Charity Challenge Official Charities.
