Canadian 10km Road Race Championships
The Oasis Zoo Run will serve as Athletics Canada's 2012-08-09-10-11 Canadian 10km Road Race Championship. The Canadian championship races are open to all Athletics Canada members. For more information and a copy of the Technical Package, go to www.road.athletics.ca/10km.php.
Eligibility for Canadian Championship Title
Athletes registering to compete at the 2012 Oasis Zoo Run 10k are eligible to contest for the Canadian Championship title in their respective division, if they:
- Are a Canadian Citizen (Only Canadian Citizens are eligible to be declared Canadian Champions and receive a medal and championships award).
- Are an Athletics Canada member through their provincial branch.
- Note: All Canadian athletes MUST be registered for the current year (2012) with their Provincial Branch, prior to entry.
10k Championships Prize Structure

Standards (Related to Prize Money)
The following standard must be met at the championship race in order to be eligible for the full prize money. If an athlete who finishes in the top 5 does not meet standard, they will be eligible for 50% of the prize money.
- Men: 31:00
- Women: 36:00

Timex National Road Race Series Finale
The event will also see the staging of the Finale for the Timex National Road Race Series. The top three male and female individuals will be recognized, as well as the top provincial teams (men's/women's/overall). The Finale is the culmination of more than 120 races across the country with points earned in each race to top finishers. To see more information on this year's Series please visit this page.
